Amazing brakes, easy to install, got here fast too! Thanks Puget Sound Motorsports

Are your brakes hindering your ride with issues like fading, overheating, or constant bleeding? Look no further; TRP has the solution for your Surron and Segway braking needs! These brakes stand out as some of the most potent and well-crafted DH MTB brakes available, perfectly tailored for the Surron. We highly recommend an upgrade to the 2.3mm front rotor specifically designed for the front wheel.

Unfortunately, due to Surron's unique rear wheel configuration that doesn't use a standard MTB bolt pattern, you'll need to retain your OEM rotor for the rear, or you can consider upgrading to the Warp9 220mm rotor & we recommend using Metallic Compound Brake Pads,

Please note that TRP Brakes are sold individually, so be sure to purchase both the Left (rear) and Right (front) brakes if you desire the complete set.

Installation is a breeze with TRP DH-R brakes, as they can be configured for both MTB and Moto setups without the need for additional hardware. While the levers are specific to the left or right side, the brake hoses come detached in the box, allowing you to customize the configuration to your liking. TRP employs a unique, bleed-free hose installation process, eliminating the need for brake bleeding. Simply choose either the Left Lever version or the Right Lever version, and you can seamlessly switch between MTB or Moto configurations. TRP includes long hoses for the rear, which can be easily cut and installed without the hassle of brake bleeding (Refer to the Installation Video at the bottom).

Now, let's delve into the details of the transformation we've undertaken to enhance our braking performance and power to meet the new standards of World-Cup level downhill racing and the demands of heavier e-bikes.

We left no stone unturned, and the culmination of our efforts at the end of the season yielded the completely redesigned DH-R: the all-new DH-R EVO. It boasts an ergonomic lever-blade, newly formulated brake pad compounds, high-performance hydraulic oil, a 5 mm brake hose system, CNC-machined adapters, a selection of 2.3 rotors (available separately), redesigned oil flow within the calipers, an adjusted hydraulic leverage ratio, and a smaller master cylinder piston size to elevate the overall performance of the DH-R EVO to this new racing standard, now available in an eye-catching gold finish.

Key Enhancements:

  • New 9mm piston for enhanced power
  • Performance flow caliper for quicker response
  • Improved brake pads for superior heat stability
  • Upgraded mineral oil for faster flow and increased heat stability
  • 5mm hydraulic hose for high pressure and improved heat stability
  • Optional 2.3mm rotors for increased heat stability and stiffness (sold separately)
